Department of Accounting and Business Law

The Department of Accounting is the leading accounting department in Finland with both Finnish and international faculty from a variety of backgrounds. Our research is regularly published in the top Accounting, Finance, Management and Business Law outlets. We are well networked both nationally and internationally with regular research visits from prestigious universities and close ties to top businesses. Faculty members take societally relevant roles supporting political decision making, advising businesses and governing companies. We have a high media visibility. Theoretically advanced and practically valuable research enable us to provide state-of-the-art teaching. Both our Bachelor’s and our Master’s programs are the largest at the business school and regularly receive top feedback. Our PhD program is well funded and provides top skills training, great networking possibilities and excellent supervision.

Together with Hanken School of Economics we are hosting an excellent seminar series covering both Management and Financial Accounting topics, attracting top researchers from all over the world.
